I thought I would let Harrison try a sippy cup while I was feeding him the other day. I hear the transition from the bottle to the cup can be sticky, so I thought I would give it a shot. He has two sippy cups: one, his Nana bought him while she was out here and the second one, I bought the other day because it was on sale. I tried the one that I bought him first. As soon as he put it in his mouth, he made the most horrific face I have ever seen. It was as if I had dropped acid in his mouth (maybe that is why that sippy cup was on sale?). The one his Nana bought him worked like a charm. He loved it. He hasn't quite figured out the exact mechanics of it, but he knows to bring it to his mouth. I think he just isn't ready to hold it the whole time. I can understand that. I have been holding his bottle for him since day 1. If someone held my drink for me all of the time, I would be reluctant to let someone know that I could hold if for extended periods of time. Why give up that luxury? I have a feeling this train of thought might resurface during potty training.

He is such a big boy. I miss his Nana misses him very much. Can't wait to hold him again. I can't resist picking up clothes for him when I am shopping. I think it makes me feel closer. I'm sticking with 12 month sizes, I here he likes his peas and carrots. Love you all. Grandma Joan
This thought of reluctance will resurface FAR before potty training time! ( our most recent favorite thought is "mine" and "nope" ) Just wait! He will start drinking from a sippy cup, crawling, walking, eating table food and before you know it...he will have a FIRST birthday!!! (hopefully all before he is potty trained....) He looks like such a big boy. I want to hold him!! Sooo wish that we could come out and see yall. Miss you and love you tons.
by the way-- has he shown any signs of teething yet? It looks like he is chewing on the lid to the sippy cup! Just curious.....
